This forum aims to open a dialogue and knowledge exchange on a fundamental question: What should a first year architecture student learn today in order to prepare for a rapidly changing future?
First year design studio leaders from five universities are invited to share and reflect on their pedagogical ideals, emphasizing teaching motivations, methods and processes.
Speakers are asked to respond to the following guiding questions:
1_What to teach?
2_How to teach?
3_Why teach it this way?
Each presenter will respond to the above questions through work samples generated from the courses taught.
